Does your spiritual life feel dry?
The demands of a job and family tend to limit us from having
a deep spirituality. It is possible to go a full day or
a full week, without experiencing God's presence because
of the pace of our lives.
Pastor Steven will be sharing his experiences from his
visit to a monastery. We will discuss how we can become
aware of God's presence and different monastic practices
where we make space in our lives for God to show Himself.
God wants to be known and can show Himself even in the
busyness of suburbia.
If you are feeling disconnected and drained spiritually,
come and be part of these lessons from the monastery.
Children's
Ministry for Children Birth Through Fourth
Grade is Provided During Worship. Your Children
Will Learn About Jesus Through Singing, Bible
Stories,Conversations, Crafts, and Snacks.
Full Children's Ministry for Children Birth
- 4th Grade is offered at both 9:00 am and
10:45 am. Each class and nursery is led by
a state certified volunteer who has passed
a series of background checks.

Devil Came on Horseback DVD Movie Night
and Conversation
May 1 at 7 PM at FirstLight Downtown.
The Devil Came on Horseback is a documentary
film illustrating the continuing Darfur
Conflict in Sudan. This film is based
on the book by former U.S. Marine Captain
Brian Steidle and his experiences while
working as an unarmed military observer
for the African Union. It premiered
at film festivals in early and mid-2007
to critical acclaim. This film is not
rated and not suitable for small children.
