fusion

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” Jn 10:10

remedy

“But Jesus hearing it, said: They that are in health need not a physician, but they that are ill. Go then and learn what this means, I will have mercy and not sacrifice. For I did not come to call the just, but the sinners.” Matt 9:12-13

Weekly Gatherings

Each Week FirstLight Youth Ministry hosts gatherings to learn and grow as a community. Our goal is simple: we desire to see students become disciples of Jesus Christ.

On Wednesday nights, fusion meets from 6-7:15 P.M. and remedy 912 will meets from 7:45-9 P.M. at FirstLight Downtown (138 E. Main).

So that you can start the New Year on the right track, we have decided to change youth group structure for the month on January. Starting on 01/06/2010 we will be gathering all the questions you might have about God, Church, world religions, etc and center youth group around that.

Prayer Request

Luke 6: 12 “One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God. 13When morning came, he called his disciples to him and chose twelve of them, whom he also designated apostles”

Mark 1: 35“Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed. 36Simon and his companions went to look for him, 37and when they found him, they exclaimed: “Everyone is looking for you!” 38Jesus replied, “Let us go somewhere else–to the nearby villages–so I can preach there also. That is why I have come.” Jesus’

Pattern… Prayer… Purpose… Pursuit First, he prayed. Through the night. Early in the morning. Second, the prayer revealed his purpose. His direction. What he was to DO. Third, he DID it. He pursued what he knew the Father wanted. Choosing the twelve. Which town to go to next. What we have always loved about ministry is that we get to ask God what HE wants. It’s not about us being smart enough or talented enough. It’s about being surrendered enough!  Which isn’t always easy. Spend some time praying today.
